Oats toasted with walnuts, cinnamon, and honey – this is a super tasty yet healthy breakfast.
Granola is so expensive to buy at the store – and so easy to make at home. It’s a no-brainer. You can make a big batch of granola and store it for a couple weeks – if your family doesn’t immediately eat it all (like my family does).

Honey Walnut Granola
4 C rolled oats
1 C chopped walnuts
1/8 C brown sugar
1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
1/4 Tbsp salt
1/2 C vegetable oil
1/2 C honey (use maple syrup for vegan)
1/2 Tbsp vanilla
Preheat the oven to 325F.
Prepare a metal baking sheet with cooking spray. (I line my baking sheet with aluminum foil to make the clean-up easier.)
In a large bowl, combine the oats, walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Add the vanilla, oil and honey. Mix until well combined.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the oats begin to turn a golden brown, stirring halfway through. If you’re not sure whether the granola is done cooking, see the note below.
